I'm not sure it's possible to overstate the significance of Kansas overwhelmingly voting against stripping abortion protections out of the state constitution yesterday.
Kansas is not a blue state. It has not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964. It has not elected a Democratic senator since 1930.
It's hard to look at 59% voting to keep abortion protections and not think that by clearly and sweepingly overturning Roe v. Wade, the GOP may have awakened a sleeping giant.
