Darnell Clayton :verified:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.jacobhaddon.com/@jake" class="u-url mention">@<span>jake</span></a></span> Maybe <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AI</span></a> was the reason <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/WordPress" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WordPress</span></a> created the <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/Jetpack" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Jetpack</span></a> app‽ </p><p>That would make sense, as including <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/ArtificialIntelligence" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ArtificialIntelligence</span></a> in the main WordPress app would cause an uproar.</p>
Darnell Clayton :verified:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.jacobhaddon.com/@jake" class="u-url mention">@<span>jake</span></a></span> Thanks! Ironically the <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/WordPress" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WordPress</span></a> app also crashed too! 😂 However, it automatically saved the post into a draft which was super helpful.</p><p>The only thing I do not like about the WordPress app is that they have migrated stats to their new <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/JetPack" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>JetPack</span></a> app, the latter whose existence is puzzling.</p>
Darnell Clayton :verified:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.monoceros.co.za/@uastronomer" class="u-url mention">@<span>uastronomer</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://darnell.tv/author/darnelltv/" class="u-url mention">@<span>darnelltv</span></a></span> Yeah, it’s similar except that <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/WordPress" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WordPress</span></a> only emails me if my blog receives a <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/Fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fediverse</span></a> mention. It’s weird.</p>
Darnell Clayton :verified:<p>Oh wow! I discovered if someone mentions your <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/Fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fediverse</span></a> handle for your <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/WordPress" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WordPress</span></a> blog (if the <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/ActivityPub" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ActivityPub</span></a> plugin is enabled), you receive an email alert along with a permalink to the post.</p><p>Example: <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://darnell.tv/author/darnelltv/" class="u-url mention">@<span>darnelltv</span></a></span> </p><p>This is great (I wish <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/WriteFreely" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WriteFreely</span></a> had something like this), but I wish the notifications came from the app (either WordPress or the dreaded <a href="https://one.darnell.one/tags/Jetpack" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Jetpack</span></a> app) &amp; not via email, as that can be overwhelming.</p>
